中国のTCLが、13/1Qに400万台の液晶テレビを販売した。そのうち半数は中国市場の販売だった。なお利益は四半期ベースで6~7倍を計上。
China Star Optoelectronics Technology (CSOT)

China-based TV vendor TCL has disclosed it sold almost four million flat screen TVs during the first quarter of 2013 and may see net profits rise 670-710% on quarter during the period, according to industry sources.

TCL, which receives ample panel supply from China Star Optoelectronics Technology (CSOT), currently holds the number one spot in China in terms of TVs sold, and also took the number three spot in LCD TVs sold in 2012,
beating out Sony. Industry observers said TCL's recent success along with its improved performance during the first quarter is due to advantages the company has in the supply chain, which is expected to help the company see strong sales in 2013.

TCL also recently announced that it has purchased a 30% stake in CSOT, indicating that TCL wants to have an even more vertically integrated supply chain during 2013. TCL currently has ample supply from CSOT for TV panels sized 28-, 37-, 46-, 48- and 55-inch, the observers said.

The investment in CSOT along with TCL's product line may help the company reach its goal of CNY$85 billion (US$13.7 billion) in revenues during 2013, the observers added.

TCL sold just under four million LCD TVs including commercial displays during the first quarter, nearly half of which were sold in the China market.
