経営危機に陥り急速に事業を縮小しているタッチパネルメーカーのウィンテックは、中国の３工場の操業を全面停止か部分停止にし、一万人以上の従業員の解雇を行う一方台湾とベトナムの操業は継続すると発表した。
Touch panel maker Wintek, due to its quickly shrinking business arising from financial troubles, will stop operations at three factories in China either entirely or partially and lay off more than 10,000 workers but will continue operations of factories in Taiwan and Vietnam, according to the company.

ウインテックは主に受注ロスと財政問題により１１月の連結収益が8870万USドル(対前月比:-52.67% / 対前年比: -67.99%)になったと報告した。
さらなるロスを防ぐのと中国メーカーとの競争と戦うため、ウインテックは生産を中国以外に集約し中国内の3工場を12月いっぱいで操業停止する。
Wintek has reported consolidated revenues of NT$2.727 billion (US$88.7 million) for November, dropping 52.67% on month and 67.99% on year, largely due to a loss in orders and financial issues. In order to prevent further losses and combat competition from China makers, Wintek will focus on production facilities outside of China and finish shutting down the three factories throughout December.

Sources at the company have even stated that order visibility is only until December 20, 2014 as customers are shifting orders away.
