FlexEnable Partners CPT on Flexible AMOLED Displays

FlexEnable, the leader in the development and industrialisation of flexible organic electronics, has partnered with Chunghwa Picture Tube (CPT), a renowned display maker, to drive the penetration of truly flexible AMOLED displays, a market predicted to explode to $16 billion by 2020, according to IDTechEx.

プラスチック基板を使った低温プロセスによる有機ELパネルを英国のFlexEnableと台湾CPTがSIDで紹介しました。ビデオレート60Hzで駆動し厚さは125μm。
現存のOLED量産工程に最低限の改造を加えることで生産可能で低価格の製品化が見込まれるとしています。
両社はパートナーシップを組んで製品化に向けて開発を進めると表明しました。
